Customize

A savory rub of paprika, garlic and black pepper with onion, thyme, oregano and a little cayenne for warmth. Rubbed on ahead of time, it seasons meat like a dry brine and builds a peppery, red-brown crust on the grill or in the oven. There is no sugar in it, so it will not burn over high heat.

Heat: Mild

How much to use: About 1 tbsp per pound of meat, rubbed on 30 minutes to a day before cooking

Try it on

  • Pork chops and chicken thighs
  • Ribs and pork shoulder
  • Grilled vegetables
  • Roasted potatoes
